Maia Demitrack 11/13/2023 4:39 PMI went to the "In Media Rez: Indigenous Interventions in Cinema" lecture by Professor Kiara Vigil. Honestly, it was really good. She spoke about the history of Indigenous people in Hollywood, framing it around the stories of the great-grandfather. She talk about "survivance," navigating the use of Native bodies and objects that legitimize and exploit the American imagination of "Indianness" and colonialism, while also subverting those narratives and using their roles in performance to redefine indigeneity. -
Maia Demitrack 11/13/2023 8:12 AMI offered to help Fabi who is currently not feeling her best. I have been checking up on classmates in my Spanish class about our upcoming exam. I also offered to cover someone's shift at the SCEI office, but they ended up not needing a cover. -
Maia Demitrack 11/07/2023 4:50 PMI am so excited to get this started!! (I'm doing this because I think we get more points), but I think this will be a fun way to actually get a little accountability!
