As of today, you can now recycle soft plastics - like plastic shopping bags and packaging materials that come with the technology we procure - in a box in the hallway just inside the entrance to the ground floor of Jepson Hall. Nancy Probst is responsible for setting up this program and working with Facilities so that soft plastics are picked up every day. There are other boxes on campus, and if we collect 500 pounds of soft plastic, the company sponsoring the effort will donate a bench to the University made out of the plastic that's been recycled. So if you're unpacking new technology that's just come in or looking for a place to throw away your sandwich baggie, you now have a place in Jepson Hall where you can do it!

#6, but after seeing the baker of the pirate treasure map cake add a treasure chest and gold coins, I should have switched my vote.

It's like watching a marathon!  Kevin is up 7 points on Jean...  I think we need a commentator (or comedian) to get involved...

Nice going, Jason. There are seven IS Team members in the top 10 participants list. One of us has to get #1 (with all due respect to Maria). You've done it before, can you do it again?

Proud of the Information Services team - you folks have put out a great effort so far this week! Keep on checking in and seeing what activities you can complete. Click the gear icon and select Edit Actions if you want to look at the list of possible actions again. And don't forget to repeat on any daily actions you perform. Today I kept my shower short again, so I got to mark that accomplishment again. GO IS!

Simplicity - Day 2 Track my Purchases
What have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?

I make very few purchases in any given week, other than groceries. I believe in the wealth of selection over the wealth of accumulation. The two things I do buy are books and music, and I've been getting more of those digitally in recent years. Spotify has pretty much eliminated my need to buy albums anymore. And I listen to Audible audiobooks and read about 1/3 of my books on my Kindle on my iPad.

Learning about food in China: "More than 90 percent of all farms in China are less than 2.5 acres, and the average farm size is among the smallest in the world." Amazing.

I wonder how long they can withstand the economy of scale pressure that changed things for the U.S.
