We're off the grid! The sun is powering our home (Jean and I are both working remotely) and recharging our Powerwall batteries.

Andrea - Yes - Jean and I had 21 solar panels installed on our roof. We then got two Tesla Powerwalls, which act as batteries when both solar and grid power is unavailable. No more blinking clocks! And the Virginia tax credit is nice too.  (:

Awesome.  An interesting new thing I learned about my installation is that under the right conditions, I can get a scary avalanche with melting snow!

Cool!  Did you have panels installed on your roof?

Jean and I had 21 solar panels installed in the fall. And we got two Tesla Powerwalls (batteries). When we had the storm the other day, Dominion power cut off 5 times in one day, but we never lost power because of our Powerwall. The nice thing was that the company, Sigora Solar, gave us LED bulbs to replace every light bulb in the house. They're even redoing our insulation in the attic to help us conserve more energy. Solar is great!
